What is the secret algorithm that the search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing) use to rank lawyer websites?   Just like the secret formula for Coke, no one knows.  But there are two crucial ingredients to being found by Google that are undeniable: (1) you must add new content (i.e., blog posts, frequently asked questions, testimonials and articles) to your website EVERY DAY and (2) you need to get inbound links to your website from high ranking websites (a high ranking website refers to a Google page rank).

But how do you get high-ranking websites to link to your website?  Here’s something that none of the high-priced webmasters will tell you: JUST ASK.  You pay good money to your vendors, such as stenographers, videographers, trust consultants, etc., and guess what, they all have websites.

But don’t just ask for a link to their website. Be different by writing a testimonial for your vendors that contains a link to your website and ask your vendors to add the testimonial to their website–there’s a 90% chance they will.  You just got a great link to a high ranked website and you created some good-will with your vendors and best of all, it’s free!  That’s a win-win and you just got a great link that the search engines will use to rank your website on page one of Google.
